Karen Payton

Karen Payton was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. She attended Overbrook High School and graduated from Pratt Institute in New York City with a Bachelor of Fine Arts.

After graduating she started working as a Corporate Buyer for companies such as J. Crew, JCPenney, and Lord & Taylor for over 35 years. Currently, Karen works as a substitute teacher for the Philadelphia School District. Karen has volunteered with G.L.C House of H.O.P.E for over two years as the administrative assistant and has assisted with fundraising and community outreach.Karen hopes to reach the youth of Philadelphia by improving their way of life, health, and wellness through mentorship and job readiness. Karen’s goal for the youth of G.L.C House of H.O.P.E Inc. is to see them thrive and succeed.
